Miye Kohlhase

Executive Board Member, Association of German Banks

Miye Kohlhase is a Member of the Executive Board of the Bankenverband (Association of German Banks) and Head of Clients and Markets. In this role, she oversees key economic and financial policy areas, including capital markets, retail banking, corporate and sustainable finance and legal and tax affairs. Miye represents the interests of private banks in Germany vis-à-vis policymakers, regulators and the public. At European level, she is member of the Savings and Investment Union Strategy Group of the European Banking Federation EBF.

Miye previously spent more than a decade at the Association, focusing on capital markets law, with particular expertise in trading, post-trading and custody services. Prior to joining the Association, she worked as in-house counsel and Head of Participations at a member bank. She began her professional career in banking in 1990 and has over 25 years of experience in capital markets and financial regulation as a qualified lawyer.
