James Turner leads Global Fixed Income for the EMEA region for BlackRock. The Global Fixed Income division includes BlackRock's active fixed income strategies comprising IG Credit, HY Credit,  Emerging Markets Debt, Government bond investments, and Securitization.  Prior to this he was head of European Leveraged Finance, overseeing investment strategies across European High Yield, Long/Short Credit, CLOs, Leveraged Loans, and the European Fundamental Credit Research team. Before BlackRock, James spent more than 16 years at Oaktree, where he was the portfolio manager for their European high yield bond strategy and a portfolio manager for the global high yield bond fund, European senior loan strategies, and European CLO strategy. Mr. Turner earned a first-class degree in chemical engineering from University of Nottingham.
